For compression-ignition (i.e., diesel engines), the most commonly used catalytic converter is the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). This catalyst uses O2 (oxygen) in the exhaust gas stream to convert CO (carbon monoxide) to CO2 (carbon dioxide) and HC (hydrocarbons) to H2O (water) and CO2.

Fook knows?? Unless some one has tried to upgrade to get round LEZ requirements.

But standard 300Tdi has a Particulate filter. As do most td5's think the later ones have a CAT but not 100% on this.
 
Iv'e edited my 1st post as i forgot to put it was off a auto!! and a particulate filter lol

Did we find out what type of cat it was?
Iv got a moggy and a Burman. But neither of em look anything like the pics?
