i was told that I could straight swap disco 300 axles on to my 1990 90. Is this right?
I've rebuilt the rear one and half way through the front one,

basically a straight fit but front needs the wider radius arms to or new axle packing out with washers to suit your arms

Sorry to jump in on this but.....

What's the newest defender axle that would fit (especially a '92 disco ) as a modern update
I've seen newish defender axles that 'look' like they would fit bracket wise but are the dimensions good for retro-fit?

td5 def unless you want to alter prop length

Thank you James, luckily I got the wider radius arms with the axles,
I noticed they were wider when I tried fitting some poly bushes and there was a gap in the middle of them.

James you wouldn't happen to know the part number for the front axle wheel bearings,I'm not sure of the year but they have Teflon swivels if that helps?

stc4382 or rtc3429 both are the same bearing
