Hi all,

I've been out today laning in my 300auto and it was fine all day.
About 10 mins before I get home after a run on the motorway I started having issues with my gbox.
If I coast or cruise at about 2000rpm the revs will get snatched down to about 1100-1250rpm and it gains a lot of resistance. It also sounds like a bag of spanners.

You have to give it quite a bit of throttle to get past that point to where is drives normally.

I assume something in the auto box has gone?

Many thanks
Adam

Not good if it sounds like a bag of spanners! The first check is dip the oil, check level, look at colour ( should be dark red, brown is bad) and smell it. If is smells burnt then that is also a bad sign.

Have u done any wading. And have u got wading plugs in as water may have contaminated the oil

I checked the oil, was too much in there so drained some. Now at the correct level.

Been driven the past couple of days and I've had no issues.
Maybe some gunk or muck got kicked up inside the box but cleared now?

I'll take it easy with her and see what happens
