Hi all.

Has anyone tried to swap out the standard 110 station wagon rear seats for some with a full compliment of 3 point harnesses?

I'm compiling my dream shopping list for my perfect Defender and would like to make any rear passengers as comfortable and safe as possible.

Photos of your seats in situ would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Nick.

Yes of course they have but what do you mean 3 point harnesses? If you're going for comfort and safety then a harness is not the way forward

if you meant 3 point seatbelts rather than harnesses then look at a standard defender 110 from puma onwards.

The seats can be bolted in with the associated bracketry required from oem kit.

there was probably no response due to it being covered about a million times before.

if however you mean fitting 3 No. 3 point harnesses thats a different matter.

I'm sorry for the vague question.

What I meant to ask was, has anyone installed into a 110, the rear seats from another vehicle with three 3 point seatbelts, as opposed the kind with a central lap belt?

If so, which vehicle did they come from and are there any images of the finished result?

I tried searching previous threads before posting the question, but didn't find anything.

Thank you for your patience.

Search for 'forward facing rear seats defender 110' on Google and loads of examples will come up. Depends what you want, do you want them to be permanently fixed or to fold away? You can get the proper brackets for 3 point belts for fairly cheap, here for instance http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-...ING-seat-belt-BRACKET-RH-90-110-/331158227321, mounts at the rear on the left and right. You can pick up the folding forward facing seats for a reasonable price sometimes or if you after them fixed you can fit pretty much anything if you're willing to fabricate a mount. Smart car seats are cheap, narrow, easy to fit and look good. They are usually quite popular for fitting in landys

When I say rear seats, I'm talking about the row of seats immediately behind the driver and front passenger seats. I'd keep the load area empty for transporting the dog and general stuff.

Is this commonly known as the middle row on here?

So, I'm guessing that you have an older 110CSW and therefore have the older square second row seating with lap belts. You want more modern seats with 3 point belts? Yes it's easily doable and would be much simple to fit newer style CSW seats.

Not a straight swap but it's doable if you dont mind manufacturing a mount of some description.
What's wrong with your seats at present? Let's see a pic so that we know where you're actually starting from

Mine arent bad as it is to be honest :D

All I'm doing at the moment is compiling the perfect spec for a 110.

I don't yet own a defender but want to have a ballpark list of jobs/prices/etc for when a defender comes along in my budget

I'm just drawing on the wealth of knowledge and experience of the Landyzone collective so I know what is and isn't possible.

Those Megane seats featured above are brilliant and will strongly look into those when the time comes.
