also James what would happen if i accidentally slipped and smashed the black box, am i right in thinking it wouldn't matter anyway as i could just live the solenoid once the box is ov of the way?

as you say just put live on solenoid ,they dont look pretty by the time ive chisled them off but your never going to refit it

just a quick update lads.. i managed to get the cover off now i see a sinlge wire stop solenoid, i ran a live from it to the battery and it made a clicking noise, which wasnt present before so im assuming it must have been a immobiliser problem, i havnt had time to try start it as the battery was dead, its on charge now so i will try fire it up tommorow, will i be ok to just live it straight to the battery while i try and fire it up, also when im bleeding it off using the lift pump to prime it will the solenoid need to be lived off ... thanks for all the info lads.

Well lads thought id let you's no it started straight away with a live straight to the battery,
apart from one of the metal pipes i hadn't realized id smashed when i was chiseling the cover off the stop solenoid, everything's good.... so thanks a lot i couldn't be happier and i would have been fooked with out this forum lol...
