Hi All
Looking to get more comfortable seats for my MY 02, Freelander TD4 3 Door.
Rest of the motor is great nick mechanically & body wise so seems silly selling it for the sake of more comfortable seats?

The ones in there are in good nick, but I have a 'dodgy back with 2 damaged Discs' and although for short journeys they are fine, I do notice it only longer runs, so could do with something more comfortable, :D
The Lower Back rest is very firm with little give....... but bases seem OK.
Have tried these padded covers, but they are a pain in the A**E - keep coming off!
(We also have a Peugeot 407 and the seats in that are perfect!)

I could get some Freelander Face-Lift Seats (3 door so rare) but they are about (assumimg they fot of course!! ;))

Has anyway had both ‘Face Lift and Pre Face Lift FR1’s’ and can advise if the seats are better in the later models - they look a better shape….. flatter main seat panels with side bolsters…
(if so I could then sell my existing ones (Spotless Light Grey)

OR … Discovery 1 3 Door seats … OR Bespoke Seats, but not many manufacturers do them for a FL1 3 Door? (Exmoor Trim etc…) Need to be flip forward seats for access to the back seats……

Any ideas

Any advice much appreciated in advance.;)

I know exactly what you mean. I was considering trying to barstewardize a set of mg/rover 200 half leathers onto the freelander frames.

The seats look a very similar shape except the freelanders sit about 4 inches higher.

Although I guess that could be the problem. Maybe the seats were designed to be sat in with your legs out further..... And hence causing the problems.
