MOT approaches and 3 amigos rear their heads. Once I've changed the shuttle valve , should the lights go out or do I need to get them switched off? As you'll guess they're still on. They came on when I disconnected all the electrics so I could remove the engine bay fuse box whilst welding the inner wing. Have checked all the connections and fuses and they're all ok so common consensus was the shuttle valve , which is now done but hasn't dispatched the amigos. Any thoughts?
Have you disturbed one of the sensor connectors that sit down in the inner wing? There's one each side going to the front wheels.
Shuttle valve switch faults normally clear on an ignition restart.
Where are you located? Might be someone local that has a Nanocom or Hawkeye.

most common cause is wheel bearing ,new hub with sensor the fix

i'm wondering why that conclusion
...that's not the way to diagnose an ABS fault, there are 10 reasons for 3 amigos and SVS is only one of them...also buying a new switch assy is wasted money cos in 99% of cases the problem are not the switches but the internal contacts in the shuttle valve assy(the expensive major unit), that's why that wiring mod fixes itget it plugged in a tester and find the real fault
