Hi just a quick one my disco 2 isnt lighting the the 3 amigos up. When i got the car last week the the front wheel bearing was hanging off and probs had been loke that for some time the 3 amigos wernt on when driving which was a surprise due to the amount of play on the bearing. Anyways did the bearing last night and noticed the 3 amigos dont come on at all when you put the ignition on all the other check lights come but the 3 amigos have left the party. All I can assume is the the previous owner had the lights coming on due to the wheel bearing and has disabled the lights. Wheres the first place to check

It's not really possible to just "disable" the lights electrically.
The first thing to check is that a previous owner hasn't put some black tape over the lights inside the instrument cluster, or actually removed the LEDs.

I need to pull the speedo cluster anyways as i have a bulb out and cannot see the fuel gauge in the dark. I didnt know if you pulled a fuse eg abs it would kill the 3 amigos. Like I said the wheel bearing was quite bad so I am assuming the PO has done something to lose the warning lights.

Well pulled the speedo head out and someone had filled the little leds with black silicone so all that cleared out and now I have the 3 amigos unfortunately I have them all the time,I was hoping the knackered front wheel bearing was the cause of the 3 amigos there is another cause, both front wheels bearings are good the nsf is 24 hours old all brand new inc sensor. the osf is 10months old zero play on both, havent checked the arse end yet.

I ve owned a fixed vauxhalls for years so only ever had the need for tech2

what code readers will read the SLABS and not cost a million pounds

Choice of 3, including the Lynx, if you prefer to use a laptop based kit.
A code reader is the only definitive way to find out what's happening.

If you were closer, you could have borrowed my Nanocom.
Check the LZ map to find someone close to you.

Well all sorted warning lights work as they should now. had three codes stored 1 for the front abs sensor (bearing changed now )
shuttle valve ( wire mod done) rear abs sensor (damage wire) and turns out my mates garage has diagnostics thats reads the TD5
