Hello,

This happens 1-2 times per day:

When i start my 2005 TD5 D90 i get the 3 amigos or the "TC", "ABS", "Brake" along with really bad brake pulsation and noise from the engine bay. When i apply pressure on the brake the noise gets worse and the pulsation can be felt in the brake pedal.

If i turn off the Defender the noise is still there and will last a few minutes then stops. I am able to start the car up again and all lights are normal and i can resume driving.

Is it a shuttel valve issue, TC issue, ABS issue or some sensors that can be cleaned and replaced?

is it possible a sticky ABS relay?

Any help diagnosing the would be great

Get it plugged into a diagnostics such as Nanocom or Hawkeye and it will narrow the field in terms of what could be wrong.

You could have one or more ABS sensor problems. A code reader should be able tell you where the problem lies.

Does sound like ABS system is kicking in. Thats what you feel/hear when it comes in under emergency braking.
