Hi all wonder if anyone can help, changed front drive shaft and afterwards TC,ABS,HDC all on until i drove to 5 mph then went off ( if i brake in this time abs works and pedal vibrates all the time ) when i hit 20 mpg all lights back on and no vibration so guess deactivated. I guessed at damaged sensor so fitted new one and still had same problem, so disconnected power to abs unit to see if helped and result is all 3 lights on all the time now.

Did you remove the ABS wheel sensor before removing the old drive shaft ? Was the exciter ring on the old CV joint badly corroded ?
Could be that the sensor is not touching the ring.
On my 2002, TD4 when I removed the rear hubs a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the outer CV joints do not have an exciter ring fitted and the sensor sits against a smooth face on the side of the joint and not from above-as is the case with the majority of CVJ's where they are signalled by a notched ring machined or pressed onto the diameter of the joint.
A diagnostic check will soon show if the sensor is giving an output to the ECU or if any faults are logged.
Depending on your location, there could be either an Independent Landie garage or someone with the diagnostics other than Stealer Test Book...e.g. Autologic, Faultmate/Rovacom who can point you in the right direction.
Good Luck:)

Today found new sensor was not plugged in properly as one of pins had bent, so have straightened it out and now its back to coming on going off at 5 mph then on at 20 ish. Garage said it works off magnetic bearings so i am guessing sensor ok and its rust dropped onto outer race of bearing so going to pop drive shaft out a bit tomorrow and clean it well then re assemble and see how it helps.

Did you get the right drive shaft for the age of your car?

They changed driveshafts and ABS system at 2002MY (vin 2Axxxxxx onwards at end of VIN)

Maybe you have the wrong driveshaft fitted?

Where did you buy replacemeny shaft from?
