Hi,
totally new to this forum.
probabaly old ground as far as most of you are concerned, however......
i have a 51 plate TD4 (ex Police), bought it as a project a few years ago with a banjaxed engine.
did work on it when i could. fitted BMW engine from a Rover etc. Turned the key and hey presto it worked. Took it for MOT, sailed through without a hitch.
left it in my shed for a year, due to other commitments.
fitted a new battery when i had to move it (1 year later) and 3 lights came on and wouldnt go out.
another 6 months before i could get back to it unfortunately.
i've read various forums and tried the following.
1 all wheel sensors check ok with multi meter.
2 new brake switch fitted (3 wire)
3 checked operation of switch on gearstick ... ok
4 changed g sensor

now i have 3 amigos plus the orange exclaimation light next to the 3.

5 checked the brake fluid level swich ... ok

can anyone suggest wher i go next please?

i finally have the time to actually start using the car.

cheers

Slight aside here but as a newbie to the forum (waiting to sell my X5 before I can buy a Freelander) what IS the 3 Amigos?
Loads of threads about it but can't actually find what it means!!
Cheers all

abs and hill decent and traction control are all part of the same system ,a faulty senor or wheel bearing etc will effect all so but all 3 warning lights up ,though you can get faults which just involve 1 part
