anyone help got a 3.9 v8 coupled to a lt77s gearbox , i am told there should be a transfer plate between the 2 but theres nothing can anyone help
also i need a new gearbox whats anyone else running on the 3.9v8 and i dont want a auto !!!! yet !!!
 
Wasn't the R380/LT230 the replacement box for the V8? clutch cylinder on the drivers side rather than the passenger side as on the later ones.

LT77 was the early RR Classic one IIRC.

all lt77,lt77s,r380 boxs will with the right bell housing bolt straight to the v8 but you will require the v8 box as the diesel box has different ratios and is garbage in a v8
 
LT77s is known as double syncromesh model that never reall worked any better with also up graded layshaft bearings.Over the two id rebuild that or get an old 4speed/transfer combined.
