Are you using a 12v electronic ignition coil / distributor / amp?

Yes, that's how it came out of the factory. I know some complain about the ignition system but so far (touch wood) I've had no real troubles with it once same with the EFI (once I got it working properly!). As long as everything is maintained there should be no issues.

Are you using a 12v electronic ignition coil / distributor / amp?

Yes and that all works great - it's wired up via the resister (once I uncovered it) and the spark is good and strong. The resistance back from the terminal on the multiplug to the coil is correct so it's getting the correct signal to the ECU.

The resistance readings for the engine and fuel temp senders are reading at around 40 degrees C which is odd - could they be the wrong ones or do I have a different table?

Still looking for an ECU to swap over!

I think I've found the problem - I assumed that having checked for a spark it would still have one and it's gone!!!! Ordered an ignition amplifier as it looks like it has expired - had the ECU checked and it's OK - got my fingers crossed!

It lives!

Thanks for all the advice you guys!

Has anybody mounted an airflow meter for a hotwire before? I have a short air filter and it all needs mounting to something now but there doesn't see much to mount it to?

Whilst trying to wire a 3.9 serp motor into my comp safari. I couldn't get lives to the fuel relay or coil it was because I had earthed all the black wires. One of them was an immobiliser wire that shouldn't be earthed. Once the auto electrician found it all was fine.

Hi Guys and Girls, it's all running now, had a few more little hiccups on the way due to previous errors by others, one of the most annoying was finding the auto box sump seal was not doing its job in keeping the fluid on the inside of the box! The brake balancing device also made bleeding the brakes tricky by being gummed up! Not much more to do until an MOT and I'll take some more photos and some video - it sounds bloody awesome!
