Hi all
Sadly I have decided to sell my 90. I just can't find the time to finish it the way I want it, and its making me sad and frustrated every time I walk past it.
Its a 1986 Landrover 90. Originally a 2.5 petrol, but now fitted and registered with a 3.6L Motori VM HR692HT, that's had the diesel pump fully re-built. This engine was sold under license as a BMW and Mercruiser marine engine, by Detroit diesel as a pump engine and also fitted to the AMC Eagle and by Italian sprots car manufacturer Corvini. It was also fitted in some Portuguese Range Rovers as a VM6. Its cog driven, so no belt changes to worry about and could pull a house down!
Its mated to a normal LT77 via an SD1 bellhousing as the engine has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a Rover V8. Reverse is noisy in the current LT77 but I have another 'E' suffix gearbox and spare transfer box to go with the sale. Not brand new, but only slight shaft wear (see pic).
The bulkhead and chassis are in great condition. I fact you can still see the matching chassis number on the dumb iron. The chassis has had two repairs. 1 to osf outrigger and 1 at the rear, near where the wiring loom comes through the chassis.
Front axle has had both front swivels fully rebuilt and set up properly. Rear axle is a Salisbury unit with new A frame ball joint.
Its currently a pick up, with a 2" lift, braided hoses, tubular front turrets and 285 75 16 muds, plus spare. Painted (not greatly) UPol Raptor black. I was going to convert to hard top, just haven't got around to it. I do have everything to do it though. New windscreen seal recently fitted.
Parts that I have to go with the sale are :
LT77 gearbox suffix E
LT230 transfer box
Philips Milner V8 bellhoushing adapter
LT230 bellhousings x 2
Van sides x 2 in grey with all brand new fixings and seals
Later model roof - had sunroof but plated over
rear door - ok condition. frame is fine, skin isn't great at the bottom. I was going to chequer plate a strip at bottom.
Rear door handle/lock mechanism - New
NRC9529 Brake master cylinder - New
Standard set of wheel arches - currently has wide arches on it
50mm wheel spacers - currently fitted
10mm Heavy duty winch bumper to suit 8274 type winch
Wipac spotlights - New
44in LED light bar - New
Snorkel from 300tdi
wading kit
A frame nudge bar
Chequer plate set - wing tops are gloss black with new stainless hex bolt set
Raptor engineering dash console - brand new
Dixon bate pintle with spreader plates and bolts
Towing hitch - brand new
Cranked rear trailing arms
Spare heater unit - dismantled as requires matrix
Spare heater motor.
Spare battery
Land Rover Mud flaps
There are more bits and bobs but can't list everything. Basically whoever buys will get everything Landrover based in my garage. You can even have the 25L drum of EP90, Raptor paint kits and any other oils sprays etc
What it needs doing - Gearbox could obviously do with swopping, but it still drives fine with current one, just noisy reverse. Drivers side door bottom is rotted but I have a repair section and the rest of the door is fine. The other door is mint (pic). Paint sorting, a bit (supplied with).
Currently SORN but we can take it for a run where I am and I'm happy to stick a ticket on it for the right money.
