I hope someone off here buys it so we can see it run one day. :D that's gonna be mental.

Seems odd to only have one turbo as it will only run off one bank and put all the stress on the one side??

What stress? it has to be on the side as that is where the exhaust manifold is left or right will do ifit depends ao the engine bay space available, the air from the turbo is then ducted to the intake.

aye, looks like the turbot is only driven by one exhaust, to me at least. Bellhousing looks wrong for a RWD setup as well. Bet it shifts tho, but I'd go for a supercharger :D

The turbo is driven the gasses in the manifold it's connect to, so I don't understand the " fed by both banks" statement.

pipe round the back from other bank means its fed by both banks not just the bank it is attached to

I know how a turbo works!!
If its was only on the left bank it would make one side work harder!

Basically a rear view would show a feeder pipe round the rear of the heads merging with the outlet from the turbo side manifold...

Are these good for about 300bhp?

FFS! Was changing exhaust today from y pipes back, got all old stuff off ( broke all /cut in process! ) now to discover new stuff from mm4x4 doesnt fit :( the straight thru isnt long enough by about 2/3" causing the bendy mid pipe to hit a frame and axle :( and because of the pull on it its not sealing properly to the y joint :(

POAH's right, the turbo sits on a custom built Janspeed exhaust manifold on the left bank which has a joining pipe from the right exhust bank, either around the back or running around the sump to the front, hence the both banks statement. Early eighties twin turbos were Im reliably informed a bugger to balance and a major pain in the arse, fuel consumption and performance wise, so were (apart from sloan rangers) only used by police motorway divisions. Not been able to find much data on this conversion at all via the tinterweb. Would be usefull as I have one of these but a 3.5 carbed version sitting in my tr7 :) A lot of trial and error ha ha
