Hello,
I have a 110 200tdi but no rear seats. I have the front brackets for these style seats… can someone tell me if the back edge clicks into anything to keep secure or are they free to flip forward?

Also, has anyone fitted a 3-point belt for centre seat (I want 3 x high backs, not lower centre) … if so, did you mount it from the roof? Any kits out there?

I am By no means an expert but am currently rebuilding a station wagon body to convert mine. I have a similar style all be it low back seats in my rear body. There is a latch by the pillar that keeps the outer seat base from tipping forward. Mine are siezed solid. But it does not seem that secure as to tip mine forward you can just twist the seat frame a little and there is enough flex to get around the latch and tip it. And the same bracket on the seat that has the revived for the base tip also has the catch to stop the back tipping.


I thought I had a photo of mine but cannot find one. Here is a poor shot from a guide to replacing the sills. But you can just about see the catch I am talking about behind the seat belt. That engages with the side panel on the seat. I am on my phone. But will try and find a picture of the side of a seat to show you what I mean with both parts of the mechanism.








Mechanism to stop the back tipping forward and the flat part you can just see at the bottom of The trim piece is what the Yale style latch in the body photo engages with to stop the base tipping forward.

Thank you @dag019 that's super helpful... as I've said I have no rear seats, just a coupe of brackets here and there so it's a bit of a stab in the dark for me! :)

Next time I am working on mine I will try and get some specific photos. As I am just about to remove all of my seats to repair the floor! I will then in time also be looking for a set of high back seats. But need to repair the tub and get it fitted before I worry about seating

I just had a look at your project! :) you're doing great. I'd like to get proper Exmoor high-backs but they're so expensive and these landy's are money pits without the extras!! Do you know if you can get the standard seat frames as my original pic on their own? Paddock, Rimmer bros etc?

I do not know unfortunately. I have not got that far. In searching for some pictures of the catches I did find some sets that has sold very cheapLy used ones on eBay. So they are clearly about.
However from some of the research I have been doing for the rebuild I am not sure how easy it is to get hold of the brackets that the seats attach to. What brackets do you have? Maybe throw up a couple of pic of yours and can try and compare it with what I have. I don’t think mine is complete but sounds like it has more than yours.
 
Some pages from the parts manual. There are two types of rear forward facing seats. The "split" type which is a double (side and middle) and a single or the "individual" type which is three individual seats.

Below are the parts manual pages for the seat locking brackets, the ones I pictured above are the individual type:

I was moving my Landy so I took some pics of the rear seat latches for you. Three individual seats. there is no latch for the centre seat as the side seat sit ontop of the centre seat frame and hold it down.

That is not fair, your catches look like catches rather than a lump of iron pulled up from the bottom of the harbour! I have not yet looked to see if you can get replacements, but have also not looked at exactly how rusty mine are. They are currently solid but they look like fairly crude so am hoping with a good soaking of penetrating oil they will free up and clean up

Well that is not the case as you can by the catch that I have rusted solid because I have been looking at them. LINK. LINK2 I I know it is only one part But try searching for the part numbers off the page I pictured above. There are also some fairly cheap second had sets of seats that include the frames LINK1 that you could cannibalise parts from? The only part I think is difficult to get is the plate brackets that go between the seat frame and the tub itself but these are included on the eBay link above.
Throw some pictures up of your tub and we can have a look what’s missing. That’s what I did when I was trying to work out seatbelts and very quickly worked out what I needed.

The metal hinge brackets for the seat also look like they are fairly basic. With some measurements and pictures you could Probabaly make your own. Or walk to YRM. As if they don’t supply it and there is a demand they may make them for you and add it to their inventory of body panels and fixings.

Mine were bloody awful too! Best to drill/grind off the flat-head screws and take the latches off. They disassemble into component parts enabling you to clean off all the rust and barnacles to get them working again!

Craddock look to have the seat mounting brackets so either the person you spoke to on the phone didn't know what parts you were after or their website is incorrect. However a quick google of the part numbers shows it potentially cheaper elsewhere:
