Merry Xmas all, I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand key fob for my Disco mk. 2. If you get them new they come with a barcode used for programming, question is is it still possible to programme a key fob without a barcode and if so what's the trick. Also can one order the programming barcode from Land Rover?

I bought a second hand one for my disco td5 without the bar code. inside there is a little sticker on with a number which needs to be there then just go off to your local landrover specialist and for a few quid he will plug the computer into your can and programme the key. Mine also gave me the the alarm codes etc at same time which i didint have if you within reach of west yorkshire i will give you the name of my freinly landrover chappie with the comp as he is very reasonably priced
