I have a 1.8ltr petrol k series and the engine has blown HG etc. I would love to know if anyone has actually put a 2ltr engine in as an exchange, I keep reading posts but then the info changes to how much HP you could get. I just really need to know has anyone out there changed the engine from the K series.

Dont bother.

Buy a REAL landy and avoid the gaylander.

get the headgasket done then flog it. not worth your cash or time ****ing around fitting a 2.0 lump.

ther was one on her for sale with a vitesses motor in it and ther has been ones with the turbo motor in them.Bodge it and part ex it then get a proper 4x4

apparently a 2.0 rover vitesse turbo engine can be fitted:

LAND ROVER FREELANDER,UNIQUE,22"WHEELS,TURBO ENGINE !!! on eBay (end time 13-Feb-11 22:37:55 GMT)

and it will give 200 BHP

apparently...

Yeh! think I will put an exchange motor in and sell it but the car is here in Spain and parts/engine are so expensive, it's unreal.
