When I bought my TD5 100 defender, I also bought new wheels and tyres. I was enticed in buying 265 wheels and tyres. I live down a very bumpy dirt track, and am bored of the Landy being splattered by mud all down the sides, as the tyres are wider than the wheel arches. Is there a simple solution???

Thanks

Yes there is.
I need some 265/75/16s, well just a spare actually. If I get you some smaller tyres will you swap them with me? ;);)

thiner tyres or wider wheel arches..

still cant believe you asked that question....

265's will look lost in extended arches imo.

Its a Land rover it gets dirty and so do you. Iv got them and dont have any problems. Its only a bit of mud.

wheel spacers will help your problem, failing that 35x12.5 r 15s on 50mm offset rims should do the trick :rolleyes:

...or you could fit 235/85 r 16s, wider wheel arches and even front mudflaps will help also

Take the wheels off ... being careful not to get mud on your hands ... see if there has been a set of spacers fitted before and if there has then take them off! Then simply refit the wheels (after polishing them) and your problems solved! If there hasn't been any wheel spacers fitted you could wrap the (100??) in cling film and simply peel it off when you get bored of the mud! :D:D:D

That is so japanese sex industry, ya kinky sod:eek:

FFS, just dig a big pit at either end of the lane about 3' or so deep and fill with CLEAN water (may need snorkel for Landy), then Landy gets a wash regularly and you don't have to look at a Landy with mud on it. SIMPLES,,.... A Landy with mud on it, oh my god thats just like RIDICULOUS MAN:eek::eek::eek::eek:
