Hi all, i have a 2.25 3 bearing engine with a 25D Dizzy on. Can i change this with a 45D? Reason being is that i have a shed load of spares for a 45D.

I don't know very much about the different types but i think the 45d has a different advance profile

Thanks Kermit, on my 3 bearing currently sat in my Landy is a 45D dizzy. I’m not sure about the spare one but think it’s a slightly earlier 3 bearing - no engine number but with a 568750 head.

Mines a 3 bearing to.. but it's a ducellier

I meant the distributer.. the old one was worn out

So the 25D won't work. I can't get a spark so I'm going to stick on a 45D which i know is working. I don't think this would be an issue swapping dizzys over would there?
