I need a new fuel gauge for my series 3 24volt, im sure to some of you this is a daft question, but humour me, a mate of mine has a 12volt one I can have, will it work on mine :confused:

Looks like the answer is no - there are different part numbers for the 12 and 24 volt gauges on the FC101 and I presume the S3 is the same.
 
I'm new to all this Landy stuff so I might be wrong, but I thought that the fuel gauge (temp gauge as well) were fed with an 8V supply from a regulator behind the instruments. Try measuring the voltage to your existing gauge if its 8V your mates gauge might work. Worth a try anyway.
