Hi all, new to the forum and Defenders. Just bought a new Defender 90 hardtop (Dotty) and having a nighmare with water leaks, quality of harnesses and rust. Re-routed a number of harness bundles in the engine bay and touched up rusty patches on the chassis. Took Dotty back to the dealer to fix the leaks. But after the recent snow/sleet she leaks worse than ever (footwells and hartop waist rail). Are these faults normal or am I being fussy?

Just had a look at the crock of **** thread, awsome amount of info, Dotty is booked in next Tuesday. If they don't sort things out this time I'll be using your template. However I'm totally addicted to her even with all the imperfections. Bugger it's raining looks like I'll have to bail her out tomorrow ;-) Cheers.

Hi, found the manual, absolutely brilliant, was it put together by Land Rover? You'll be amazed at this, pointed the wrinkled door seals (shown in the manual) out to the dealer. He said it was normal, had to smile................

It certainly will give me some amo. When I had a polite!! discussion with the dealer (Salesman and Service Manager) yesterday they said that they might have to take the top off. This fills me with dread. Last time they tried to fix the leaks they must have taken some of the dash out, they put the steering cowl back in incorrectly and the steering wheel is not straight. Luckily I have a comprehensive set of documentation (e-mails and letters) in case I have to take this further. We has also logged a formal complaint with Land Rover.
