If you have such a well equipped workshop, why not invest in laser alignment gear. Can be picked up second hand for not too much from time to time.
This is my philosophy - spend the money on the tools, rather than so called garages.... laser wheel alignment is on my shopping list too, having taken SWMBO's D1 in for alignment, only to have the monkey hold the key in the start position with the engine running... even worse was that I had to tell him it was actually running! - I mean it's a D1 - if you can't hear that, then
( apparently, I am not insured to drive it up onto their ramp- no probs, won't be coming again anyway
)
Blimey was he deaf in not being able to hear the engine running![]()
Hi
Yes right by the threaded part they are slightly bent both sides
When u have the 4 x wheel alignment done also ensure it’s in right tolerance mode and they also check and reset ur steering wheel angle sensor , other wise if it will light ur dash board up like a xmas tree and when turning corner the DSC system will kick in , they should do all of that for u
Also ensure ur steering wheel is straight after they’ve done the adjustments
Hunter alignment systems are the ones u need and will also give u a printout
Plus hopefully there be able to undo the rear upper and front lower wishbone bolts as they can seize solid inside the bushings
Hope that helps
