My friends... Yes my friends not mine 1992 disco 200tdi won't rev past roughly 2500rpm. Check the pipe from turbo to diesel pump and couldn't see and splits. Removed the pump diaphragm and again no splits. This is about as far as my knowledge on these goes so any help would be appreciated!!

i would say your either not getting good clean fuel supply ie blockage or air leak ,or injection pumps worn good places to look are filter, sender unit under plate in boot ,sedimentor best bypassed and lift pump, bleed system using front banjo bolt on injection pump 13mm socket just slacken till fuel runs clear of air

I did say it could be blocked sedimentor, is a bypass jut a case of replacing it with a bit of pipe. Any way to check injection pump? I thought the injection pump and lift pump were the same thing. Oops!

The 13mm bleed banjo on the front of the pump as you look at it from the front of the car?

Not sure on oil level, hasn't been changed recently, just started to not rev up one day. He thinks it could be soon after he pressure washed it.

Mine did the same it was the tank sender unit under the plate in the boot it was blocked put a new one on and it was fine

Well he got a lift pump and said he'd fit it bu what I think he meant was he was going to wait for me to do it for him!!

Might do it tonight and when I do I'll take a look at the sender unit.
