fitted 200tdi into my series three and removed turbo basically for ease of fitting, so now have a 200 DI wich is running great, went for mot today and was advised to adjust the pump down because of being now non turbo, and is slightly smokey, was shown the diaphram on top of the bosch pump to adjust the screw under the top plate, question is wich way to turn screw to lesson smoke?

that's bollocks. The diaphragm gives more fuel when the turbo kicks in, that's what the box near the turbo was for (the one with a tube going to pump)
just somehow close up the hole where you've taken off the tube at IP

hey blue beasty, thats one whole load of interesting info , especially that piece from james martin, ive printed it off and will probably have to read it several times before it sinks in but going on a cruise tomorrow and when i get back i will have a tweek at the smoke screw
