hello everybody , i'm new to all this forum stuff so be gentle . i need some advise from somebody , i'v just converted my na 90 to 200tdi and have noticed something not quite right , the engine runs fine , there is no smoke or anything else wrong but the temp gauge is reading high and i don't understand . i've flushed the rad and the engine , the water is not boiling and iv'e bled it . it is not using any water and iv'e changed the thermostat . iv'e spoken to a friend of mine and he said his doe's the same thing , has anybody heard of this before . i was wondering if the temp sender and the gauge are incompatable . any info would be greatly welcome .

dont know for sure but suspect that the 2 are incompatable. your temps may be fine. is it possible to check with a proper temp probe?

i doubt it, but maybe the old rad is not big enough for the job?

it could be that the calibration on the temp gauge is set different to the temp sender on the engine. see if the sender off the n/a engin will fit the tdi.

thanks everybody for the help , i'll try the old sender and see what happens , for some reason i had'nt thought of that . by the way i'm using the disco rad not the na one
