Hi, does anyone no if someone has written up a step by step guide on how to swap a 2.5TD to a 200tdi. hav done a quick search but could instantly find anythin. cheers
 
no but it is pretty much the same as a normal engine swap. The only problems are the intake most people use a 300tdi airbox. Do u have a donor vehicle or just the engine? If you have just the doner then you can swap all the gubinz over. its not that bad the only bit i couldn't do was the piping took it to a tuning garage for that but i think you can buy sets these days (steve parkers?).
 
I have a TD filter in place and it works fine, just give me a shout if you want to have a look at it. Don't think your far from me.
 
I've been writing up how I did mine but this was mainly based on Patman's as mentioned earlier. I'll post it once finished hopefully tomorrow.

The alternator plug is different - you just cut the 200TDI connector off and use crimp terminals. I used the original TD airbox and it works just great :D

yer im about 15mins from harlow. one of the engines im looking at has the air box and one doesnt so depending which one i get, if either, a look could b helpful
