;):D

The very top banjo bolt on the rear of the pump is the small turbo pipe isn't it? The one below that you mean? Something like a 17mm bolt isn't it? I thought that was the diesel return line  If that is for the spill off pipe where is the diesel return line?

I thought the line at the rear of the pump was the diesel return line to the tank. I found a photo on the net showing the spill off pipe going in the general area of the rear of the injection pump and could only find what looked like a broken connection with a rubber L shaped boot over it. What is this?

And yer where is the diesel return line? It does have one doesn't it?

If ye follow yer spill pipe back to the IP, ye'll find a banjo with two pipes which looks like this...

Undo the couplin' that's on yer return pipe if ye're needin' to change it...

Or just undo banjo bolt if ye're changin' the copper washers;)

Ahhhh I see. Bugger:( I bought a cheap 200tdi to fit in to my series 3 and some of the bits were missing, this special double pipe banjo is one of them  Back to the 4x4 shop I go, unless anybody on here has one to sell me??? :)

Thanks for the help guys

think busters picys explain better than i could. if youve found a dead end plastic pipe at back of engine its gearbox breather(2 of)most likely

Hi! Buster,
Saw this and then noticed something amiss on mine. The Banjo with two pipes is there but does not connect to the fuel pipe directly but with a plastic pipe in between same case from the fuel pump to another pipe, its not direct but through a plastic pipe.

want to get brand new pipes so that they fit in directly to the IP and the fuel pump. What are the part numbers, thanks in advance. Attached some pics.

Looks like somebody has been cuttin' pipes mate!
Just had a double check of mine and there should be -

a pipe from injector one (part of spill rail assembly - number 1)...

.... this has the 'double banjo' that your fuel return pipe connects to on the IP.

The top banjo at the back of the IP goes to your turbo (number 22)...

The pipe that fits to the front of the IP comes from your fuel filter (number 4)....

Not sure what fuel tank or tanks you have fitted so can't make out what return pipe you need mate.
;):D

Busters pics are always spot on.... begs the tongue in cheek question, does he use a 'stunt hand' as I need 2 hands to take most pics :)
