hmmmmmmmmmmm, i must admit in the last few days it has become a poor starter:eek: at first, but i have put that down to the fact that the motor is on its way out, its sounds like the starter motor is not turning it over quick enough then makes a funny grinding noise, but after it first start of the day, its starts happliy all day.

that does sound like starter grindy noise is pinion jumping out under too slow a speed
Yes thought so, it so slow at first then gets quicker and as it starts there is this grinding noise, it must take it about 3 seconds to start now and fires up fine, but last week it would start straight away, if it was worn, it could not become that bad of starter in a matter of a week, must be the starter, butter other wise a good service could be need for, (dont know when filter was last changed) and a tweak of the pump.

service allways good ,dig out the info on here somewhere it was clearer than i could explain with diagrams for pump

Ok, thanks very much James, i will keep you updated over the next few weeks and see how it goes.
