Hi, I'd like to know if I can fit a 200tdi from a Disco into my 1986 ex military 110. It's got a 2.5D and LT77 gearbox. Will it go straight on? I know the turbo's lower, does it fit inside the wing?
There seems to be a lot of knackered Disco's around here at the moment. Thanks.

Yes, I put a Disco 200TDi into my 1985 90. You will need a few bits and pieces, get as much off the doner vehicle as possible. Steve Parker sells all the bits, but you can get the exhaust downpipe more cheaply from fleabay. If you don't have power steering this is the time to fit it.

I found the information contained in the Glencoyne Engineering web-site invaluable when I converted my 110, although I used a 300tdi.

If you haven't sourced your engine yet, don't discount the 300tdi as they are just as easy to fit.
If you still have the 1.6:1 transfer box you will also need to think about a higher ratio transfer box.
As said above, now is the time to fit power steering, if you have the space, it is easiest to get a complete Discovery for all the bits, Rad, Intercooler, PAS box, transfer box etc.
