Cheers guys looks like the recon'd way is the way to go just need to wait till son has some time off as he uses it every day as he has just started a new job using the landy, landy is running ok just has a very slight un-even idle when cold but will get it done as soon as i can

had mine re conned at diesel bobs, £220 for all four, made a big difference to the smoothness of the car, and no smoke now,

and there returned the following day

Worth trying a few doses of Millers - might be just a bit of residue build up in the injectors.

Son tried some BG244 in it that he got from work last week its been in for a week now and he say's the only noticeable difference is when overtaking on a motorway but the slight un-heaveness idle is still there but think the first chance i get i will whip them out and get them re-con'd
