Hi there, new on here but just need some advice if at all possible please.
I have recenlty looked into putting a 200tdi disco axle onto my 1986 Landy 90, but noticed that the props are different in connection. Just wondering if any one has any experience on whether there is a conversion kit, or whether you can remove the diffs and swop them over. Greatly appreciated any advice.

different in connection in what way???
i have a rrc back axle on mine and thats fine, most disco axles are a straight swap aswell, you wont be using the disco props.

Hey thanks for the response. I disconnected the existing 90 axle from the prop, which had 4 nuts connecting it to the diff. On checking the Disco axle, it has a 3 nut pattern?!

yeh some are like that, but the output flange can be changed or just swap your old diffs over piece of **** to do,just make sure that the halfshafts are the correct spline and job done

You will need to swap the output flanges.

If you swap diffs then you will have to swap halfshafts as well because the 86 D90 will be 10 splined and the Disco axle is 24 splined.

You'll find all sorts of combinations on disco axles so many having been reapired or replaced over the years. Don't assume that a 200tdi has 10 spline diffs it might not have. Fortunately most stuff is interchangeable and second hand diffs , halfshafts etc are plentiful.
