Hi, i'm putying my 200 defender onto a 'new' TD5 chassis, the chassis i bought already had a steering box attached, i was just going to weigh the old one in with the old chassis but i thought someone may have a use for it.

so it was in good working order when i started stripping the truck down in november time and has sat (still attached to all pipe work) under a tarp sinece then, currently attached together its a 4 bolt steering box with drop arm, drag link, Steering colume (with a new UJ), support arm that bolts through the chassis, and steering damper, but i may be removing the damper if i need it. i think there was a small leak from the bottom seal when i was on my truck but not really that noticable, just wet around the drop arm.

I'm open to offers for it, if no one wants if i'll just keep it as a spare or get it reconned..

I work in Derby and can meet around there and i live in south Derbyshire Dales..

I'll maybe try and get a picture on later on when hoe from work.

Any Q's please ask.

Thanks

Browny

I'm always careful ;) but don't worry, the DVLA have been informed and all is legal.. I bought the chassis from an insurance company from a water damaged defender.

I've been asked if I will split the parts listed with the steering box (someone wants the chassis link piece. So unless someone wants the whole thing I'll split it.

Thanks

The VAST majority if steering boxes that sell on eBay etc are not sold with the support arm, I wouldn't worry about it.

Those axles were great by the way, many thanks :)

Cool glad to hear it, they were perfect on my 90 before..

I'm only selling it as a lot as that's how I took it off the chassis, I'd gladly split it, but I don't need any of it..

I don't recall any play but will have a look tomorrow.. £35, I can meet around derby area ..

Any play is removeable simply by adjusting the preload grub screw at the top of the box anyway... :)
