Hi all
My beautiful 3 door, none sunroof, 200tdi needs a brake overhaul and I am debating what to do with my calipers. Rebuild or replace? My discs will have to be replaced as they are wawffer thin.
I have no plans to do any extreme off roading, that's what my mountain bike is for. So I am not looking for any wild, read expensive, up grades. But my transport of the gods is often heavily loaded with either building equipment or, more importantly, family and canoes so the brakes have to work consistently in all conditions. Quality standard parts and replacements, read expensive, will of course be used but which are your favourite and what route should I take?
As ever you experiences will be greatly appreciated.

If you have the skills to rebuild your calipers and there's no wear where the pads sits and you have the time then do-it, if not replace its a simple as that is it not?

Not that I've needed to do much with brakes other than change the pads and fluid :)

I used Britpart discs and callipers all round on my last Disco 1, sold it after a year and all still going strong.
If you are confident doing refurb to callipers then go that route but not much cheaper than buying recon items.

Ahhh I hadn't considered the time to rebuild....as the vehicle is my every day drive I may well go replace rather than re build...or maybe both and save the rebuilt calibers as spares...
