I feel lucky to have 3 landrovers, A series 3, and 2 discos. I am thinking of selling my two disco and getting either another disco or a defender....
the 200TDI manual is a k reg, been made offroad ready ( 2" lift kit, guards, rock sliders, wings ut etc) no mot and a very good conditined 3.9 V8 ES auto 7 seats ( bar the pervious owner had a small knock and dented wind and bumper (off side)) 6 months tax and yrs mot.

What i was wondering was.... If I was to sell both of these what do you think I could get as a replacement from my funds of selling... and what should i look at getting a def or disco?

To get a Defender you've got to start at around £2500 for TDi power, £3000 upward for one that's in good condition.

But why would you consider selling 1 or 2 Discos to get another?

Th V8 is lovley but just too thursty for me.. and the 200tdi is met green! ( not a fan of the colour) and a bit tatty... always wanted a Defender..

we got to may cars (6 plus a motorbike) at the moment so need to trim down so if I can sell the two discos and get one good ish Defender of Disco as a replacement id be happy (stop the wife moaning!)

personally go for a defender fella if its just for off road you cant get any better!

My heart lies with the Disco 1, loads of boot space, you can configure them to do anything, works hard and looks great when looked after.

I agree that the v8's are thirsty beast's but if you fit an LPG kit or get one with an LPG kit already fitted then they cost around the same as a deisal to run. You can't beat that V8 soundtrack though.

The only pain in the arse with the lpg kits are the tanks are too small, you get about 150 miles range out of them and it get's boring having to fill up all the time, where as the deisal get's you between 500 to 700 miles range.

Let's be honest though, if you get a defender and you don't like it just re-sell it and get a disco.
