When i replaced my rear crossmember on the 90 it had a bracket sticking out the crossmember on the exhaust side with nothing more than a hole in it.

When I bought the Land Rover the rear crossmember had turned to dust and the rear silencer portion of the exhaust didn't exist. So has anyone got a picture of how the rear part of the exhaust joins to this flat piece of metal coming off the crossmember. A Google search has proved ineffective.

No it comes of 90 degrees pointing toward the back of the rear wheel with nothing but an oval hole in it. There isn't one on the drivers side of the crossmember

It's just a flat bit of metal and an exhaust hanger poking off of it - will take a photo in the next day or so

So to answer your question, if the above is the item ESR95 (nice one GSE1986), which I assume it is...

There is a normal bog standard exhaust rubber ; NTC5582

Which slips over the right side of this item and the other hole in the rubber slips over your exhaust bracket.

The earlier ones have a different setup - plate with a hole at the chassis and a plate welded to the rear silencer. You then use the collection of nuts/bolts/rubbers to make up the mounting
