Yesterday, had a bit of fun. I finally cleared out all the used, crusty, rusty scrap nuts, bolts, washers, used hubs, aged calipers et al. I weighed them in...they totalled 200kg in weight  In exchange, they paid me £34.00 in beer/diesel money :)

In other news, I'm starting to clear out other parts and brand new spares. Have placed first advert here

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/defender-exmoor-trim-front-seats-yrm-st-st-sill-parts.374764/

Hopefully find a new home for the parts, help others save a few £££'s

I’ve looked at your other post and now I’m sitting here feeling outraged

Are you an offshoreaphobe? :(:eek:o_O:confused:

I took my old chassis to be weighed in last year along with assorted metalwork and several (very large & heavy) boxes of nuts (I was clearing the garage ready to move house after 30-years) and got about £20.

A couple of weeks ago I took along to the same place a plastic flip-top bin containing recovered cable, off-cuts of copper pipe etc and got £65.

Aha, your referencing mainland UK delivery costs. I have no problem charging a "special..." rate for western islanders....ka-ching!! ;)

I hound sellers on that auction site about the “doesn’t post to Scottish islands” bit especially when the item would fit in a small Jiffy bag. Usually they give in and agree to post :)

If you want somit & they wont post it to you get it sent to me. ;)
