What else will I need?? I'm sure Ive seen a full kit somewhere with the half moon seals and washers for rocker cover.
Or maybe order them separate.

to be fair if i was just checking the tappets i wouldnt necasarily be replacing the gasket, that being said its worth having one hanging in the shed so id buy one anyway because there is nothing surer than if you dont have one the old one wont seal lol, aye the full kit with the half moons and a tube of rtv sealant, bobs yer uncle, theres bound to be a guide or a video explaining the tappet procedure

They can be rebuilt. First they are tested on a pop tester. If the pressure and spray form is ok, they go back in. costs about tenner each, or free if you know someone with a hand test rig.

They can be rebuilt if no good, new nozzles, pintle valves, springs, washers and tops. Parts and assembly about fifty quid each for mine, seventy five quid for yours, from a fuel injection specialist. You might get cheaper of the net, but beware of poor quality work. Diesel Bob is sposed be ok, not dealt with him myself.
where?

For the Rocker Cover...thats it....2 half moons, 3 bolt gromets and the cover seal.....

As for injectors....you can get replacement nozzles, you have to take the injector apart for that which can be a bit of bitttch as they can be tight to undo....also they have springs and things in them, there is a write up on here from a while agao about someone who replaced there injector nozzles.....speaking of which I have a set of nozzles on my desk at work I bought for our 200Tdi....but we are looking to sell her now and she runs a dream in any case so never changed them.....

Let me know if you want them, just bung a Tenner in a charity box of your choice and you can have them gratis (aside from the charitable donation that is).
Thanks Very Much Mate just tell me where to send money and postage.

Guys, contrary to popular belief Land Rovers are not supposed to leak oil all over them selves.
I can recommend this , I've used it on many different vehicles in various applications and its never let me down. Ive used it on my 19J and its as dry as a bone. Its not cheap but it works and this tube is enough to do a complete engine and still have change for the next few.

they do anyway ive changed mine 2/3 times in time of ownership and it still leaks, as far as im aware its part of the land rover auto chassis lubrication system

Mine doesn't, I fitted victor reinz rocker gasket when I rebuilt my engine, positioned it with gasket positioner and torqued the bolts to the specified amount. No leaks.

+1 on the fuel filter change. Mine was getting sluggish until I changed the fuel filter. I recently had a cambelt change which also made a big difference in power. I've had mine five years and the tappets haven't been touched. I recently had new vale seals fitted which has also made a bit of difference. Trouble is with the 200 tdi, they just keep on going regardless.

What tires are you running? Anything on large and Knobbly can feel down on power over standard.

chuck a new lift pump on
Might do mate for the price of them, but then again not sure if mines knackered or not is there a way to tell?? although it does look old.
Iis there anything else anyone can think of while I'm in there. as long as its not to expensive.

The price of them? Do yourself a favour, stay away from brit part, allmakes and bearmach, really.
Arnt the 200 pumps Delphi?

Hoping to get a start Sunday only only day off.
just another question, when I'm turning the engine to move the tappets, is there an easier way to do it than by getting underneath and turning the big nut at the front?? so that I can see when tappet is fully opened to stop turning. also do I have to turn it after every adjust?
Thanks Everyone for help and advice.

Nozzles posted this lunch time buddy......

I remove the glowplugs, put it in 5th, handbrake off and pull the car forward each time......
