Trewey

Cockernee, Pasty munchin bastid.
I'm selling my beloved 110 after 3 wonderful years together.
The Doris has got knee problems and I've got to get an Automatic.

I've got some pics, but surely no-one in their right mind would buy it without viewing it anyway.

It is located near Liskeard in SE Cornwall (20 miles West of Plymouth).

Just had it's 3 year service (full LR Service History) and it's first MOT.

I will purchase a transferrable 1 year LR Warranty extension, if a sensible price is agreed.

The XS model comes with Aircon, Heated Seats, Heated Windscreen, MP3, Traction Control, ABS and Half Leather seats (which have had covers on since new).

OFFERS OVER £20K

No timewasters, tyre kickers, scammers or canvassers please.

Full warranty is available for Defenders up to 5 years old and costs £915 for the year. I've got the details and application form in front of me.

they must have changed it since i had mine when i had the dispute with the stealers (service dept guy told me that the warranty i took out covered the electronics , the only reason i took it out know me way around most of the rest) the guy said the 1 you are talking about was for RR, D3 and gaylanders not fenders (not that i would pay £915 anyway )

If you fail to find a buyer for whatever reason, I'll take this off your hands for £16k cash :p

Beyond cheeky? perhaps

Best of luck, she's a real looker!

Price reduced to £19k without the warranty, which the purchaser can buy separately if they wish.

Going on e-bay and autotrader at the weekend.

Is this still for sale?

As it is a commercial vehicle, what is the VAT situation with it? Would we be able to claim the VAT back through our VAT registered company?

I live about 20 miles East of Plymouth so pretty close to you.

Thanks
Chris

PM sent.

Thanks for the PM.

We've had a bit of a rethink and have decided to find a 7+ seater 110, rather than a van back, so we'll have to leave it.

Good luck with your sale

Good luck with your search and the insurance & road tax!

It seems that a VAT paid one is a problem for dealers because it limits the market to private buyers. Therefore they offer 20% less than what it's worth!

Therefore I'm prepared to now let mine go for £17500.

Could you not drop an autobox into the fender or is it simpler to sell it ?

Just wondering as it looks great

Ashcrofts do the conversion for £5k.
Did think seriously about it, but it's £5k spent which then actually detracts from the value of the vehicle. Only worth doing if I intended keeping it for ever.

Ahh yeah I see your point then, easier to sell it on then buy an auto one after

Auto Defenders, especially diesels, are like rocking horse poo laced with hens teeth. I don't even think I've seen a tdi Defender under 15 years old with an auto box for sale.

Trewey - you've a really smart bit of kit there. I'd really consider the Ashcroft option.
I honestly think you'd get most of your money back if you did decide to sell it at a later date.
It'd be uber desirable with that sort of age/condition.
