Hello all and a Happy new year to you all, First problem of the new year !! my 2008 vogue is playing up, sometimes when I turn the ignition key to start the car the dash wont light up and I get a transmission fault message, if I remove key and try again and turn the key a little harder everything is ok, im assuming the electrical part of the ignition barrel is starting to go faulty ? Does this sound viable? if so does anybody know how to remove the centre dash beneath the sat nav/radio to access the ignition switch, and a rough idea of the price of a new 1, Thanks

Ignition Switch issues are common on the earlier L322's - the Later 2008 had the switch in a different place didn't it? or is it still near your Left Knee on the Centre console in front of the Gear Selector??

If it is the same switch (in a different place) i can only imagine it suffers same common switch failure!

it is in a different place but not sure if its the same switch though, it is in the centre dash to the left of the steering column under the radio / sat nav, I cant fathom out how to remove the dash panel to access it for the part number

Then you are looking in the wrong place - cos here it is (attached)
