OK, so my 2007 RR HSE 4.4lite Auto Petrol vehicle's rear EAS slow leaks down to the bump stops over night. Upon engine startup, I receive the message, "EAS Suspension Error", but after resetting to normal height, the compressor will pump up the rear suspension and everything is OK the rest of the day. The following morning the rear suspension again leaks down to the bump stops.

I suspect that either (1) I have a rear valve block with a slow leak, or (2) one or more rear hoses may be leaking. Perhaps soapy water may help locate the leak (s).

I have searched for the location of the rear valve block, and so far one site says it's located on test rear driver's side, and another says it's on the rear passenger side. Which is it?

Also, I would like to rebuild the valve block, but can't seem to locate the repair kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this great Land Rover Forum!

The most likely cause is leaking airsprings. They have a limited life.

Soapy water spray works on the P38. It does not need both to leak as the suspension may deflate the other one to keep the car level, at least it does on the P38.
 
Ah, great point. So, on which h side is the valve block? I'd like to start from there. (lines, connections ect.)

the air springs will deteriorate at the same rate. they've been on the car the same length of time and exposed to the same road and use.
 
I suppose now that the rear air bags may have gone South, the front ones are suspect as well. No wonder many people are switching to coil springs. I'm sure the ride is not as good.

Air suspension brings many benefits, the down side is the life expectancy of the airsprings. Fit Arnott's they last a lot longer but cost an arm and a leg.
 
07RR 4.4Litre HSE, Petrol Before I purchase those expensive air suspension bags, I need to confirm that it is the actual problem and not a leaking valve block or hose/connection.
 
Can anyone help with how to use the RAVE documents? I tried, but it seems a little bit confusing. I tried to download it to my dropbox, but I need to pay to upgrade to more storage space. Can I just download just the parts I need?

I am not sure but don’t think Rave covers your model.

Do a search direct and cut out drop box. But think you need an L322 manual. Again search the net they are there for free. Sorry I can’t help with a link but somebody might be along with 1.

Your document downloaded perfectly. Also, there are differences from this document, and my ride, but not enough to make a real big difference. I especially like the pictures and torque values included. For instance, using the navigation screen EAS diagnostics, I discovered that my front driver's side height sensor indicates it is at max height compared to the other 3 wheels.

The document shows exactly how to replace it. Looks like I've a lot of work to do to bring my ride into compliance. Now, where do I get the diagnostic software to release the pressure on the rear valve block and associated hoses? Can I just remove a fuse for the rear suspension so that it won't operate while I am working on it?

I think you can just leave a door open to freeze the suspension.
 
Oh man, never thought of that. What's the best way to release the pressure though? I don't have the diagnostic tool the manual calls for. Should I just loosen a VOS fitting and wait a 10 - 15 minutes?
