May i ask is this ur first landy plse

Have u done ur egrs yet, mine were rather on the dirty side and always a good idea to remove and clean ur MAP sensor as they block up

Good idea to have the EGR valves mapped out.

Hi

Left both my EGRs in situ along with the water cooling circuit for them

but did blank them off using some thin plates and removed the butterfly plate out of the throttle body , left the egr pipes on so looks as though they’ve never been touched and had no issues with the mot

Didn’t need the EGR software patch to prevent the MIL light coming on

This is my first Range but I still have a 2004 Freelander as well .... am no mechanic but like I said I am willing to learn so if there are any "beginners" things that I could do or check to start me off that would be good.

Hi

I had a 2002 TD4 freelander before the D3 , series landies before that , so around 25 x years I suppose

People in this forum are extremely helpful and always willing to help

What kind of work have u done to ur freelander plse , just so then can get a basic idea of what level ur at, if that makes sense

On that other D3 forum there’s plenty of how to’s etc , spend some time reading through them, but always best to ask if ur unsure about something , regardless if u think it sounds daft it doesn’t matter , best to ask and saves making a mistake then

We’ve all had to start somewhere and that’s the great thing about this forum, by helping other fellow members

Is ur rangie an auto or manual plse
