Hi, I'm new too this, but is there a cheap way of converting a 2006 l322 phone docking station too a modern phone, thanks in advance,

Do you mean plug in rather than the existing bluetooth?

If it is the same as the D3 set up, then I believe you need a sim to power up the fitted handset.

I very much doubt it, the cradles were handset specific and as bluetooth is universal why would you need anything else.
