Hello again Comedians. Despite being Scottish, I'll be brief.
Have been away for a bit longer than expected on one of Virgin Skylantic Space Flights. Couple of Rangies up there.
Ok ..replaced Sat nav/ CD BMW model ..flipping tricky ..don't do it.
ALL GOOD.

Air susp ..Still inactive ...did the Bagpipe Andy rebuild but still no go. Bar-steward. Going to replace rear RHS relay ..we'll see.

STILL flickering rear lights, and slightly same front lights. Ideas ??

been looking at PC / plug in tools for reset/ monitoring ...any experience chaps ?????

Oh....just remembered...STILL getting message...CHECK REAR FOGLIGHT !..have done , nothing obvious.

Cheers chaps, off Haggis Shooting tomorrow.

Get codes read for EAS - just refurbing the compressor won't clear any faults logged in the system.

As for the flickering lights, check the LCM - it is on the Drivers side (UK) A pillar tucked up the side of the dashboard....this can get damp and cause all sorts of issues.

The Battery drain on the L322 is chiefly Headlamp wipers not parking, the Final Stage Resistor for the HEVAC blower motor, Alternator Diode Pack or damp in the L/H side rear quarter!

As suggested above, get a plug in ammeter and go through all the fuses to spot a drain.

First port of call is to read the EAS fault codes and sort those, then check the LCM for dampness.

Hi Guys.
THANK you.
're. The above ...can exclude wipers, and I've had fan heater in both rear quarters..fuses in and out. So maybe not this.
As for the LCM ..what does it look like ? Where ? Ok,I'll apply heat and Roger it a bit , sensitively.
The RESISTOR and DIODE PACK ...i don't have a clue where to find them, or how to test them

EAS CODES ..how or where do I get them read ..local friendly garage ?..is this the multipin collector below and right of steering wheel ?

Is it worth getting one of these iCarsoft i930 devices ?
..To reset this problem, once fixed ....AND for my new 2011 MY 4.4 TD..... any good ?....just RTFM ,AND have a laptop ?
Cheers Chaps.

Hi Folks ..could you Geniuses give me a clue as to whether to buy a diag. / reset tool for 2005 L322 3.0 tdv6, and my new 2010 4.4tdv8 ????
I have to reset the EAS on the former.

Did a bit of Interpooing ..and seen Nanocom , but mainly iCarsoft i930 , and Foxwell ND 510. ANY Ideas ?.

Very many thanks .

Icarsoft is ok for the money i think and i don't believe is locked to a vin but check first. Also the Gap IID tool from gap diagnostics but you may need to register it for 2 vin numbers so could be expensive.
If you have any aftermarket LED lights then that can cause all sorts of problems and light faults. One of my LED sidelights that has been good for a few years is starting to die but the warnings i get on the dash are number plate light and rear side light but they are fine.

There could be many reasons why you have a fault with the EAS but the kit you fitted will only be relevant to pressure static while filling or something along those lines.
You need diagnostics or you will end up with 2 new range rovers a piece at a time and probably neither of them working :)
The support for faultmate / nanocom is about non existent and if you use their technical forums you will be talking to yourself

i have not used this personally but i think this looks good for the money but check if vin locked

Right own up, who has had me, last thing i remember is Alan asking if i thought his hanky smelt like chloroform and then a week later i am digging myself out of a shallow grave - again
