While I’m waiting for bits I will remove the injectors on the other head and crank by hand .... the head and the block seem dead straight to me, and I can see no indication of cracking in the head.

There's no reason to suspect the head is cracked. The TDV6 heads aren't known for cracking as far as I know.

Ba mad to not check if whilst head off, especially for under 20 quid.
Its not like it is the easiest engine in the world to strip in situ.

That's true. PSA engines in general aren't easy to work on, if it's more than general service items.
I think having to take the cams out to get to the head bolts is a stupid idea, but it is how PSA decided it would be best. :(

So I wanted to refit the head today when I spotted these.

There’s two that come out at the back of the engine.... looks like I’ve broken one somehow.

Any idea guys?

Well I don’t remember disconnecting them....so possibly, I guess.....I just need some clarity before I stick the head on and limit the space.

I’ve just had it confirmed as the gearbox and transfer case breathers.
Thanks

In that case measure the od, order some nylon pipe and a couple of pushfits, cut pipe neatly add pushfit, add on length of new pip (well away from ex cross pipe) and jobs a good un.

So guys, finally got the thing back together

I’ve done the head gasket but It won’t start on its own. It’ll start on easy start and idle fine but revs very slowly and not past 2000rpm.

I’m wondering about the correct fuel pressure?
What range should it be with engine off and also engine at idle please?
Many thanks
