Aye, we offer free advise 'ere if ya want to charge fook 'orf..

And £30 to plug in a cable, thats a right kick in the bollix.
It's an even harder kick, coming from someone being offered, and taking, for free, some otherwise expensive help. Even if he did offer to pay wammers, to go to his house and finish the work, he has still been the recipient of some very useful advice.

Sh1t, I thought it was coffee and a piece of walnut cake
BTW I've been told a make an excellent lemon drizzle:D

Briefly back on topic. Taken from fullfatrr

basically from 05 onwards they are all the same upto 2010 02-05 is quite different and cant be fitted to later models (ie does not have auto lights for example, among other things)

I think more research is needed as mine is an 05 built in 04 and has an auto lights switch.

Has Ant commented on this one yet? ( too lazy to go look)

Not knocking it, cake alwayyyyyys welcome. I just read it incorrectly and was getting excited, but now I need coffee to go with the cake.

Here ya go! ;)

Yes he has passed on his words of wisdom. Hopefully one day I will have words of wisdom of my own to offer.

Just noticed it's passed my bed time

Night night
Just wondered, as he seems to be encyclopaedic at times on model change overs. Give it long enough and, like the rest of us longer term L322 owners , those words of wisdom will be 'burn the witch' :D

Night, night, sleep well.

I have some progress though not with the lights. I have managed to change the mileage and the VIN code which has cleared the tamper dot. I suspect the code may have been changed a little when someone fitted the 2006 facelift. I think I am going to need another L322 that I can read the code from or see if someone can post thier code on here. I have put it on fullfatrr.com and bimmerforum to see if they have any info.

Every day is a school day. I wasn't aware the tamper dot could be removed.
Have you tried Regional LZers for a local L322 owner, to read code?

BMW Coder PASoft 1.4 (just under £30) can change the mileage and VIN. Not tried regional LZers yet but cheers for the suggestion.

I am not known in this fourm and thats ok, however machines cost money, i have many diffrent machine's and the knowledge to use them

I wasnt offering to plug a cable in, i was offering to sort out to op's problems

I have come on here asking for advise, advise is free i give out lots of it, especially to the tasking jobs that many struggle with

I did ask wammers to attend my car with cash reward offered from the start, i dont expect anyone to give there time for free (typing on is a distraction from your significant others)

OP i dont mind your a manc, im not a Scouser i just happen to live in liverpool

Not sure why I get the special treatment and dont really care. Truth is we help each other out on here, and with exception of out of pocket expenses, we do it for free. The machine might have cost you money, so recoup your money where you were going to in the first place, not from here. Yes you offered wammers money and I expect had he been fit enough to do the job, he would have told you the going currency is cake.
If you want to charge for your time/ your help, you're on the wrong site.
. If you want to stamp your feet again about getting told off, don't tag me. On that note, I'm out
