Hi Guys

I am looking at replacing my x plate 1.8GS Hardback. I have been looking around and seen a 55 plate 2005 TD4 HSE Hardback. I am struggling to find much out about the spec. I searched the Trader and only found 4 for sale. Were they a only produced for a short time? Plenty of 5 doors about. Anybody with any info on this model let me know.

Cheers

tony

There's no listing for a 3door HSE in Parkers. I just got an insurance quote and they had it registered as HSE.

Simmilar spec to our 3dr Sport Premium... just without the shake your bones suspension. You'll love it. You'll stuggle to find a blank button anywhere!

Tony,

It's got the lot - leather, fogs, heated front/rear screen, heated seats, cruise, sat nav, better stereo and the TD4 is an excellent engine.

17" wheels - only downside is the cost of the tyres - start at about 115 ea for a decent brand.

I'm considering swapping my 02 Serangetti for a HSE.

Whats the price if I may ask?

Hi Tony37,
We have an '06 TD4 HSE manual and it aint' got - Heated front screen, FBH or Cruise as these were either only available as add-on factory extras or simply not available (i.e Cruise).
Think the late pre-facelifts and perhaps early facelifts may have had a better all inclusive spec?
There are a few blank buttons still in there.
Damn fine motor tho' and comfy or what!

Hi Jon 37,

I thought heated screen, FBS and heated seats are standard? Says cruise is an option.

On the pre-face lift the top model was ES.

There are a lot of late models added to the range - some might be badged as HSE.

My Td4 SE 55 plate has heated front w/screen.

Seems I just got lucky with our spec, as I bought it second hand. Sport Premium also came loaded with Harman Kardon 9 speaker sound system with Sub-Woofer under the floor in the boot. Keeps me happy :)

Thanks for your help guys. I was panicking a bit because i couldn't find much info. I wasn't sure if the seller had made a mistake. Parkers didn't list it and I could only find one other for sale on the whole web listed as HSE 3dr.I bought it yesterday. Very pleased. One previous owner,39K, FSH (Main dealer - Last minor service at Landrover cost £400! in November) even got the Nav disks and sunroof bag with it! The wife has claimed it already! I can't believe parcel shelves were still not standard even at this spec!
Looks like i get the 1.8GS for work
