Hi everyone new here
I have problem with my 2004 free lander TD 4 not starting.
Things I have checked.
Fuel pump in wheel arch = working
Fuel at rail = lots and lots
Changed camshaft sensor (2nd hand supposedly tested ) ?
Done leak test = ok
Engine turns over at a respectable speed but does not start not even trying
Carefully spray easy start and it starts and runs and drives great switch off won't re start without easy start
I have search the forum and can not find a solution.
Anybody with a TD4 local to me in Morriston Swansea willing to swop the cam sensors to see if they're working

I would be replacing the pressure control valve O ring ;). It's a pesky little thing that causes starting issues, should it split.

It's best to just change the O ring and new seal. There are kits available for under £10 ;)

Hi
Thanks Nodge68
Changed o rings and seal today and it now starts on the button.
Who ever thought of using torx bolts in that position needs their brain cell rearranged.

That'll be the problem then ;)
As for Torx fittings. That's the modern way I'm afraid. There only on the FL1 in limited numbers. Most modern cars use Torx in both male and female, all over the place.
