Hey everyone,

New to this thread, picked up an old 2004 TD4 today which for the most part is in pretty good nick. A few questions regarding the vehicle.

1. Tailgate window opens only slightly when opening the tailgate from the outside, but not enough for the door to open. I need to open the tailgate window from the inside before i can open the door.

2. Is the Synergy2 worth getting and will it cause any reliability issues down the line?

3. Where can i source some quality service kits? loads to choose from, was thinking of using the kits off JGS4X4.

Many thanks, looking forward to your feedback and advice. Total newbie on Land Rovers.

You'll be upsetting the members with older Freelanders, by calling a 2004 vintage FL1 old.;)

It's probably the cable past it's best, but you could try recalibrating it first.

High pressure fuel pump leaking is a common undesirable side effect of the Synergy 2.

I use Advanced Factors, they're not always the cheapest, but quality and delivery speed can't be faulted.

Synergy 2 is a piggy back on fuel pump tricking it, it's more like a cheat device. The "old" td4 has enough power, only do it if you really need more power not just for the thrill.
I think a remap will do better although I am not a fan of those either.
