I own 2004 Range Rover Petrol 4.4 Engine which I bought few weeks back. It had few problems when I bought it so this is the reason of this post.

Electronic display which usually displays messages was broke and always off. Also air suspension didn't work and days later light on suspension switcher went completely off.

So I brought it back to seller who gave me the vehicle with warranty and he said: "I changed the suspension sensors, however suspension broke again next day and mechanic thinks yours is sending a message to the ECU saying there is a fault with the air suspension. So new display will fix the issue".

Now we are waiting new display to arrive, however I don't understand how display is connected to suspension fault and what is ''yours" ???

It would be much appreciated if someone could help me understand, I couldn't found anything related in Google.

I'm sure you cannot actually be asking " what is 'yours'?" but just in case
Yours = used to refer to a thing or things belonging to or associated with the person or people that the speaker is addressing

Well... :) I know what yours mean in life, but I thought it means something vehicle specific thing because he said "yours sending message". Which I was uncertain of what did he mean.

Anyways is it possible that broken display connected to suspension fault ?

Lots of things are connected via common bus systems, so it is possible.
 
What do proper diagnostics say the faults are?
What diagnostic tools have been used to interrogate the cars various systems?
 
Failure of the message centre WILL NOT cause EAS problems.....

Diagnostics is the first port of call..

In saying that, I wonder if failure of the entire IKE (instrument pack) would????? as it is the gateway for all the diagnostics!.....

'Ave a gander at the battery ;)

Check its condition and V at the terminals with engine running and off..

14.7 at 2k is a healthy Alt

12.6 is ideal for a standing battery
12.4 is 50%
12.2 is 25%
12v and below is discharged..

The l322 is a sucker for a good battery ;)

He said after diagnostic two sensor where broke. See photo attached. Don't know what that tool is. Nothing else came up on diagnostic screen.
So he changed that two sensors but then he said it stopped working again after a day. Because of the abive reason I said in my first post:"mechanic thinks yours is sending a message to the ECU saying there is a fault with the air suspension. So new display will fix the issue"."

Your Battery is phucked!! That's the first thing to fix. <12v and an L322 will throw up lots of spurious rubbish codes.
Start there.
 
OK.....so what does diagnostics say is the fault THIS time???

A malfunction of the Message Display itself WON't cause EAS Faults.....

But from what I have read - if the instrument pack as a whole doesn't work, it *may* cause an error on the CANbus which *may* halt communication on the CAN......but if the rest of the instrument pack seems to work OK, then it is *doubtful* there is a CAN Fault......(this is biased toward the BMW - but it works just the same - considering the L322 2002-2005 is actually a BMW!

Getting it back on diagnostics again, to see what the EAS ECU is complaining about this time would help.

Also, an ABS/DSC/HDC or SAS error will also halt the EAS system....so check those systems on diagnostics too.....
 
Thanks everyone for recommendation and suggestions.
So this is what I've heard from mechanic. Display has been fixed and it’s listing loads of faults. The engine seems to be in limp mode no power and he think it's and ecu fault.
So will need to take to Land Rover Centre to fix it properly.

Glad he gave me the vehicle with warranty.
 
Spend your money how you want to. If it was me, the first thing I would change is that battery.
You might find that several other "faults" mysteriously disappear once you do.
Your decision, of course.
Or, if you have already changed it for a decent battery with at least 12.4 - 12.7 V to offer the electronic systems and the faults are still there take it to a LR stealership where they will be happy to empty your wallet for you.
 
These L322 suspension faults are a pain. There may be nothing wrong with the suspension at all & just a can bus issue.

L322's are known for this. You need decent diagnostics, like a nanocom or such, & you need to chase the fault out of the system & for some reason it then festers in the binnale module. It can take a bit of time as you need to go around all the modules fault code clearing. You then need to clear the fault from the binnacle. It can take a good hour or so.

He did change the battery installed higher voltage, however it didn't change anything. So it seems need to take to the stealership
